Micro-blogging is a form of multimedia blogging that allows users to send brief text updates or micromedia such as photos or audio clips and publish them, either to be viewed by anyone or by a restricted group which can be chosen by the user. These messages can be submitted by a variety of means, including text messaging, instant messaging, email, digital audio or the web.
A microblog differs from a traditional blog in that its content is typically much smaller, in both actual size and aggregate file size.Micro-blogging becomes trends nowadays and generally internet users love this service. Microblogging services uses by bloggers to promote their blog and getting users to their blog.Mostly bloggers uses twitter to promote their blog because twitter popularity is much higher than the other service and its alexa rank is now 11.

I use Google+ and Google Buzz and they are also microblogging sites.

I use just a few from these sites you listed and I stick only to those sites. I use mainly just for texting or instant messages but hardly for mails. There are just so many great sites that one can get lost
