What is alexa ?
Alexa is a California based subsidiary company of Amazon.com that is known for its toolbar and website.Its gives its alexa rank to every site according to amount of users who’ve visited a website with alexa toolbar installed.
What is alexa rank ?
The Alexa Rank is a ranking system which bases its ranking schema on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of users who visits a website with the Alexa toolbar installed on their browser.

@mybloglog thanks for questioning here.see personally i didn’t use this stuff[autosurfer],i heard about this from my friend and it can help you if you just started your blog or having alexa rank very poor and note that there will be problems when you try to use auto surfs alongside contextual ads like Adsense.so I suggest using with caution at your own risk.

Ya that’s true, Alexa rank of blog keep updating based on the articles frequency, one should need to keep posting and make their blog updated so that they can maintain or improve their Alexa rank.
As Alexa rank of particular blog depends upon the traffic it gets.
This is a factor to calculate the Alexa rank, many of other factors are also need to considered.

Hey Pavan, as we know every ranking system has different algorithm for ranking particular blog, you might have agree with this point.
Google will not take your blog from the point of view of Alexa. they have their own views to look towards the blogs.
Lets have a look at our blog. You can see our blog’s Google rank and Alexa rank. As when you compared it with other blog..you come to know that our page rank is quite impressive than the Alexa rank.
But lastly, somehow it may help you to get some traffic as Alexa also focus on link popularity of blog when it its comes in ranking, just same as Google

Yes the tips are working. I have been worrying about the alexa rank as i felt that it is an accurate measure of the traffic, after reading the article I have understood that the alexa rank is an estimate of the traffic depends upon the stats they get.
Now I have also started manipulating alexa.

nice post. Though i feel making friends with cyber center guys’ may not be a good idea. If you have adsense installed on your site, you have all chances that account would get banned because of that though it might help the alexa ranking. Imagine cyber center guys having your site on the homepage and the customers browsing and clicking on your ads. Since it would reflect coming from the same IP, your adsense account would get banned. your thoughts please…
